Birds of Paradise 2022 Acrylic on Canvas  11x14 matte Inspired by a LOUD 70s color palette and traditionally painted rendition of a digital textile series based on Portuguese folk art…I wanted to paint the native Iiwi honeycreeper and its codependent relationship with the ohia lehua blossom.
